The ZenZone Project officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting held on February 3–4, 2026, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Bringing together partners from across Europe, the meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative journey focused on promoting youth well-being in today’s increasingly digital and fast-paced world.
A Shared Vision for Youth Well-being
ZenZone is built around a simple but powerful idea: young people need space, tools, and awareness to manage the growing pressure of constant connectivity and digital overload. By combining expertise from youth work, education, and coaching, the project aims to help young people better understand balance, rest, and mental resilience in their everyday lives.
During the meeting, partners aligned on this shared vision and explored how their diverse experiences will contribute to developing meaningful, practical resources for young people across Europe.
From Ideas to Action
The two-day meeting laid a strong foundation for the project’s implementation. Discussions covered key aspects such as project management, financial and reporting procedures, and quality standards, ensuring that all partners are aligned and prepared for the work ahead.
A central focus was placed on collaboration and coordination, supported by shared tools that will guide communication, documentation, and progress tracking throughout the project.
Creating Practical Tools for Young People
At the heart of ZenZone are its upcoming educational resources. One of the main outputs will be a Guidebook designed for young people aged 15–19, built around the concept of the seven types of rest. This guidebook will include interactive activities, reflections, and practical exercises developed together with young people through co-creation workshops.
Alongside this, a toolkit for youth workers will be developed, offering adaptable methods and good practices to support young people in different contexts. These tools will be tested through pilot activities to ensure they are both relevant and impactful.
Looking Ahead
The project is already moving into its next phase, with workshops planned in the coming months and the development of key materials underway. In the longer term, ZenZone will deliver multilingual resources, visual materials, and dissemination activities aimed at reaching thousands of young people and stakeholders across Europe.
The kick-off meeting not only set the direction for the project but also reinforced a shared commitment among partners: to support young people in finding balance, building resilience, and reconnecting with themselves in a world that rarely slows down!
